They lay eggs. It is possible.
Also make sure the tank water has safe water parameters, test it. Do pwc's to get it into safe parameters if needed.
One way to note full of eggs is if there is a shiny appearance to the abdomen and might be a little lumpy looking. Pine coning / sick fish will be more bloated all over and scales will look like starting to poke away from body.
Take a look and see what you think it is.
