You'll continue to fight diatoms unless you switch to RO water. An emerald crab may be a good addition even though in most tanks diatom blooms go away on their own in time... with good tank maintenance of course.

Nice live rock by the way. Can't beat the real thing.
 
I totally agree with coralline algae ro water is extremely important not only cuz of diatom but water quality will suffer and so will live stock and u will also have many future problems

100% right Hova. There are loads of great reasons to use only RO water. Diatoms are one, but probably the least important reason. Water quality will continue to be hard to maintain with tap. You can get it from nice fish shops or even grocery store dispensers. :)
