Hi all
I am wanting to set up my 30 gal tank now fw to sw. I am going to use live rock and sand and have a swfo tank. I was wondering how big a flow pump should I purchase.
Thnks

With a fish only tank, you can do a pump that will yield around 20 x flow. Higher is always better, as it will help keep the nasty stuff suspended in the water column for easier filtration through the protein skimmer. You can start off with 1 power head about 600-800 gph, and see how that's working out, get 2 smaller ones, or even a bigger one...
