I have some slate for my angels to spawn on but it came from my neighbors house and it was just sitting outside. So how do I clean it? Thanks in advance!

Ok thanks! All I knew was not to use soap. Also should I let it soak before putting it in the tank or can I just use dechlorinated water and put it in immediately?

Like gillie said just use hot water and a scrub. I've always just given the rocks in my tank a nice hour soak in hot water, and a scrub if need be, then just put them directly in the tank.
No ill affects on any of my fish and some of the rocks have been in there for close to a year.
