I have a 38 Gallon tank with 3 Blood Parrots.
I have a 20 Gallon tank with 1 male convict & 1 Blood Parrot.
I have read that it is almost impossible to sex a Blood Parrot as they look the same.
I have also read that a male Convict will mate with a female Blood Parrot.
I have been trying different Blood Parrots in the tank with the Convict hoping to that one of the BPs are female but all that happens is the Convict will attack it until its fins are torn, then i try a different BP.
Based on the Convicts behavior with a given BP can i determine the sex of the Blood Parrot?
How long will a male Convict share a tank with a female BP before they attempt to mate?
Any advice or tips?
