How do i stop caluerpra going a sexual? Is it just keeping constant light on it?

I haven't tried to keep caulpera, but I want to say that a12 hour cycle will prevent this. I might have it backwards though.

It will always eventually go sexual. I had to keep it in two tanks to have a steady supply. Cutting it back regularly may make it go longer. Most people use cheato because it doesn't have that drawback.

I concur doctor, keeping it trimmed is the best way. I am assuming it is in your sump. If so 24/7 is good for light, as long as you keep it from getting to thick, ou should be able to put your hand threw it and give it a good mixing maybe once a week or so, the inhabitance will love it.
Cheato is far far better though
