How do platies behave when pregnant?

How do platies behave when they're pregnant? Today, one of my Mickey Mouse Platies, female, was hiding in a small cave in my decor. I have two females and one male.

IME if they are close to giving birth they will stay close to a hiding spot to stay away from other fish. If not close to giving birth they act the same as other fish. Is your female pregnant?

She doesn't look pregnant, I mean the other female seems more plump than her. When I got home yesterday evening, she was still hiding in the cave. I had to feed them all, so I gently lifted the piece of decor and she came out. Fed them, and she's been swimming around since.

Strange little platies.

Glad to hear she is ok. You may have some pregnant females in your group. Time will tell.
