how do you sex rummy nose tetras

i have a school of rummy nose tetras in my tank and was wondering how do you sex them

Best way is first thing in the morning before you feed. Males will be long and slender. Females will have a more rounded belly area if they are full of eggs. Keep in mind that there are more than 1 specie of Rummy nose however, the method I explained will work on either specie.

Glad to help. FYI: If you plan on breeding them to raise a lot of fry, it will be better if done in a separate tank and removing the parent's after spawning. Otherwise, you can let the chips fall where they may in the main tank. More often than not however, the fry don;t survive long in a community tank. They make good morsels of food for the other fish (including the parents).
