How likely is it for a fish to recover from high nitrites?

I have a gasping fish that I think is a result of high nitrites.

How well do fish recover from this scenario assuming I get the levels down fast?

It's amazing what fish can recover from, but there's no guarantee fish will recover. Too much of a variable to honestly give any kind of statistic answer. Just do what you can and hope for the best.
