How long does it take for a filter pad to build up bb

If I throw in 2 new filter pads from a small hob filter into.my canister on my 75g how long does it need to sit in there before there is bacteria build up on it??

I have a big bio load in my 75g

I'm assuming the filter pads are from a cycled filter? Is that what you mean or as you mentioned "new pads"? If from an old cycled running filter, just a few days.
