A couple weeks ago I added 7 orange fire sakura shrimp to my tank. Three one day and four the next. From a reputable LFS.
Today, I'm having a hard time getting a headcount of more than 4 at once, even with a cucumber and algea wafer bribe.
After looking around as best as I could in a heavily planted tank (including driftwood and rocks) I found one dead shrimp. That leaves two more either dead or hiding.
My water parameters are good, the four shrimp I can see seem good, and the fish in the tank seem just fine.
The shrimp I found looked normal. No signs of injury or being attacked. (I have tiny rasboras, so that's not likely anyway.)
Is this within the realm of normal? Should I be concerned?
