what should I do now?
I am monitoring the levels daily and have pretty much the same picture:
In 24hrs -
ammonia drops (after I add it to keep it at 4ppm) to about .5ppm
nitrites are around 1ppm
nitrates seems to be increasing towards 40ppm
The problem is that water keeps evaporating and I need to add it to keep the level up. I filled a gallon container about 5 days ago with tap water but not sure if I can add that water to the tank. Since it's is such a small tank I am afraid to throw it off balance especially if there is any chlorine left.
