how to get rid of left over food?

hi guys new to the forums

I have one question how to get rid of left over food??
i take about 1/3 of the water in the tank weekly with a vaccum and switch it., but when i stir around the gravel alot of flakes floats around and idk how to get rid of them
i tried using a net doesn't work...

what should i do?
and how often do i clean out the entire tank to switch the water?

If you have left over food it's most likely that you are over feeding.

+1 for sure !!!! You most likely should look for a gravel vac and up your WC's. Most think I do too many WC's, but then again I've never had a fish needing treatment for ANYTHING, nor do I use carbon in my filters.
