depends on which american cichlids. some could be bullied them.... other can tear them apart. there r quite a few that would be fine with those fish too though. what cichlid species did u have in mind? tank size will also play a big role too.
There is only one cichlid that exists as a native in the United States and that is the Texas Cichlid. There are hundreds of different species of cichlid that exist south of the U.S. border, ranging in size from Parapetenia (Cichlasoma) dovii at nearly three feet long to the smaller Apistogramma and Microgeophagus species which rarely exceed three inches.
Largemouth Bass and their 'sunfish' relatives are members of the Centrarchidae, not the Cichlidae.
Regarding the original question...the coexistance of the fish in your list with cichlids would depend largely on which CA/SA cichlids you choose. I'm afraid you'll need to be more specific before I could give any recommendations as to the mix.
