So today I decided to go to walmart to pick up some supplies, and while we were there, my dad and i decide to pick up two new fish. andd two ghost shrimp.

I also bought some algae remover as i said before, and did not see the warning label about not using the product if i had crustaceans.

I know you can put a towel or two over the tank to stop the algae from growing, and I'm doing that now. Is there any other algae remover out there that won't harm my little ghost shrimp?

I wouldn't use chemicals for algae. You should figure out what's causing it.

Do you know what type of algae it is? What color is it?

How much light is over the tank and what type? How long do you leave the lights on for? Do you have plants? How often do you do water changes and how much? What size is the tank and what fish are in it?

I'll try to help you figure out what is causing the algae, so you don't kill your shrimp.

Here are a couple algae sites...the second has bigger pictures:

I've had it before, it's the green water one.
I have plants in my tank and what do you mean by lighting type?

And one of the reasons behind the algae growth is because i think i kept my lights on for too long.

see myinfo to see what fish, etc. are in there.

I'm planning to return the algae remover.
