I finally got my nitrates down!

Thanks to dkpate I finally got my nitrates down. A couple of days ago I was chatting and dk told me to rinse my filter. So I did and the next day also. Yesterday, I rinsed my filter and did a 50% water change. I just checked my water, the nitrates were at or above 200 ppm they are now between 40 and 80 ppm. Fish even seem a little more active.
