I just watched my tetras kill my gourami....

My 4 long finned black tetras, swarm and attack my honey gourami.... They then ate him... This isn't normal is it?
 
Black skirt tetras? It can be if they are kept in too small groups as yours are. Usually they just nip at other fish not kill them. What size tank and what fish do you have?
 
It is likely the aggression is going to continue. I'd suggest rehoming the tetras or upping their school to 8 to try curb the aggression. Your cories also need a school of 6 of their own kind. You have room for both.
 
Call me a cynic, but I highly doubt it.
