I need one more fish!!

Can anyone tell me what the right fish would be to put in with a texas cichlid?10 gallon tank with just him and one small algea eater.The texas is about two inches long.

I wouldn't put another fish in with the texas cichlid until you went up in tank size. A much larger tank will be needed to house this guy with any other fish that would be compatible.

I agree that this fish will soon outgrow the 10 gal and you might be looking at a 55 to keep it properly, so I would not add anything else to the 10 for the time being.
