I had a number of clowns for a long time and never had problems with them eating plants... They will uproot (unwittingly) stem plants and any other plants that do not establish strong roots. Best to have well rooted types like Val and Crypts if you do not want to be replanting constantly (depending on the size of your clowns, mine were 6-inches+).

Wisteria and Sword plants are also good plants that hold themselves in very well.

The last plant I tried that failed they picked apart leaf by leaf and clicked the entire time.

They won't touch the ferns I have.
try some anubis, they have strong leaves and its nearly impossible for them to eat...just like the ferns!

Can I get a pic of what this looks like, or a link to a place where I can see pics?? Sorry. I really don't know what I'm doing with these plants. Gotta start somewhere I guess. Thanks!

The only anubias I like is my Anubias afzelii

Anubias are over rated as an anti fish plant. I find mine to be boring, they grow to slow and have no really cool bright colors.

I would suggest Hygrophila polysperma. Regular Hygro:

This stuff is a weed, I mean literally a weed. Some states have baned it as a noxtious species. The darn thing grow like crazy in any light and will out grow any fish trying to eat it. It looks great and kind of turns bronze in high light.
