i have a 55 gallon tank with 8 tetras, 2 corys 1 red tail shark, one algea eater, and 2 mollys could i put some tiger barbs in with them, and i will also be getting an african butterfly fish is that alright.

Make sure you have a good size school of tiger barbs, at least half a dozen. They can get a little unhappy and/or aggressive otherwise, which would be especially concerning with the how delicate the African butterfly fish looks (though I've never owned one of them).

What tetras do you have in the tank already?

Get more corys the like to be in groups. Those tetras would like to be in groups of 5 or more so up those schools as well.

I hate tiger barbs but I think that a group of 6 or more would work with the caveat that they may nip at other fish. I really would recommend against them.

yeah iv never really seen many people having tigers in there tanks. they look pretty cool Bit to nippy though
