Ich on my Gourami?

Everything's been hunky-dory in my 10gal lately, but today I noticed a white spot on the side of my flame gourami. Think it could be ich? Should I just take precautions and raise the temp up till it's gone?

Pretty fish. I can't tell from the picture for certain, but it doesn't look like ich. It looks like your gourami brushed up against something and damaged a scale. Keep an eye on it and if more appear, turn up your temperature and add a little aquarium salt.

does the spot look like a grain of salt or sugar? I agree with bigjim, looks more like a wound from the picture...

Got a close look and seems like its a scale, so I guess it is a little scratch. Hopefully it is just that.

It's a pretty cool color morph of a dwarf gourami. After I put riccia in my 10G, he started making a bubble nest, heheh. Won't let anything else get near it.

Gorgeous fish!!! I'd watch closely for a while though cuz ich will creep up on ya
