Ah thanks.. And I know as a staple diet it is good to have them eating pellets not flakes but mine won't eat them.. The pellets float, get soggy and then get stuck in the filter..

You can get sinking pellets as well.
I use "new era rift lake green cichlid pellets"
All my fish love them.

No never the only live food they ever get are fry spat in the tank by my females.

From that picture I would say that fish isn't holding.When a fish is holding it is unbelievably obvious.

The first one is def a metriaclima greshakei aka ice blue. It's a male, the females are brown. I've got pics of my ice blue in my albums.
