Got this guy/gal as a left over of a local club auction. It came is very pale, almost see through, but is now eating and not shy of light anymore. I am wondering if it is one of those self cloning ones from germany or something else.

Is it safe for a planted tank or my plants will be chopped?

Is it safe for a guppy breeder tank or should stay alone?

Currently it is on a 2.5 filtered tank with no heater and lots of floaters. Would love to get some directions on how to have a colony going as a source of food for my (now babies) Oscars once they grow.

Thank you in advance.

It should stay alone, and I'd say upgrade the tank to a 10 gallon and it should start to "clone" itself

So it is one of those, uh? Thank you.

Any suggestion on diet? I heard you can influence their color by diet, might try splitting the colony and running some tests.

Thank you.
