ID this plant!

I bought this off eBay. The guy who sold it to me marked it as Crystalwort but I'm thinking its not by looking at Google images. Do you all have any idea what it is?

Hygrophila salicifolia would be my first guess. Also possibly hygrophila angustifolia.

Can it be attached to driftwood and do well? I don't have iron rich substrate so planting it is out of the question.

Just stick it in whatever you have. It's not that picky. Hygrophila species, as a whole, are pretty weedy.
