Almost definitely a stem plant. I would guess a hygrophila species. Augustafolia maybe?

Looks to me like staurogyne sp. 'bihar'. I have some that I got off crepe a while back. Really thick stem, plant is about 6-7" wide from leaf tip to leaf tip at it's widest point. Mine isn't as purple looking as most pictures represent, looks much like that pic, just a little bigger.

I can't really see the stem that well on my phone, so I was mostly going off the leaf structure.

FWIW, it does seem some people do refer to it as a type of hygro... everything I've seen says that's in error
