So I walked into a tank full of bumble bee shrimp this morning... its great to be back in the States again! And purchased a half dozen... I dont have any experience with these dudes... I was hoping to put them in with my RCS BBS, and Amano's. Does anyone have experiences they can share? They seem to be doing well

I picked up a couple of these guys too.ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1394681069.770129.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1394681111.473714.jpg
Not sure what they are, but they swim pretty good for a shrimp.

I also picked up a blue filter feeder a few days ago. ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1394681201.541746.jpg

The shrimp all look nice...I think that shrimp that you don't know the name of is a Pinocchio shrimp...and I'm really digging that blue filter feeder is it the same size as a regular bamboo shrimp or smaller

It's about 2", it's not a bamboo shrimp or a vampire shrimp. It came in a bag of wild caught Amano...

I am actually a SFC 68w... But my hubby calls me SgtMjr Wifey... He's newly retired GySgt 0321.

I have decided that I will have a shrimp only aquarium... So, I guess I am going to tear this tank apart to catch all the peacock babies...

Make sure you research shrimp before buying them, some interbreed and some will not like your water perimeters. The blue filter shrimp looks cool though!:)The Pinnochio shrimp are also really cute, I like them because they hover and swim more than other shrimp.

Very true, I was hoping my red and yellows variants would produce ORANGE babies! LOL!!! na, just kidding.
Everyone's doing great and my peacocks are already making babies... So all is good.

By the way your yellow shrimp and cherry shrimp might interbreed and so can your tigers and your bee shrimp. Normally all shrimps that have the same latin first name can interbreed eg. neocaridinas (cherries, yellow shrimp) caridinas (Tiger shrimp, bee shrimp) Hope that helps, nice aquarium though
