Those are pineapple sponges. Good filter feeders.

Not a problem. I noticed a couple on the coral I bought a couple months ago. They deplete themselves as soon as nutrients run out though. Don't be alarmed if they disappear quickly.

Mine were introduced on some coral I bought. They spread quickly. I ended up having a ton in my skimmer. But they die off as quickly as they come.
