Injured female GBR, open wound

Hi guys, I have an injured female GBR that has an open wound and his tail has lost its color, here are some pics. I just dosed melafix. Thanks for helping

Oh right. Oh, it's definitely not. I don't have an ammonia tester. Nitrites 0ppm nitrates 5ppm. Ph6. Its around 1 year old. 2.5inch fish.

It killed my other GBR female, the female it killed had massive wounds. Hence I'm sure this is battle wounds.

Ok, in that case forget the melafix, just keep the water extra clean and feed high quality foods and it will heal..
