Last night a rock fell directly on top of one of my paly's and now it looks like this;

the odd, transparent one in the center.

is it dead/dying or healing?

Was reading your other nano thread... Sorry about the bad weekend! Wish I could help answer your question though.

It'll be ok, these guys are resilient. They tend to bounc back from accidents. I've dropped mine, smashed them, snails crawling all over them, they bounce right back.

If you have any broken ones cut them off and frag them on another rock it's a good opportunity to get them to spread
if they were just disturbed by a rock falling I really wouldn't worry to much palys are tough they will recover

like everything things do take time to recover , I had a similar thing happen to me , I cut off all the damaged palys and glued them to a rock , the original palys recovered in a little over a month , the damaged palys I fraged took a little longer but now there spreading like wild fire , it's almost impossible to kill palys as they grow like weeds , just give them some time they'll be looking good as new in no time
