iron dosing

i recieved a free bottle of iron fertalizer when i bought my hagen co2 system and there were no instructions as to how often to dose with it. it says the amout to does but not how frequently. just wondering what i should be doin.

Does it say what ppm it will bring the water up to? What brand is it?

I've been told that iron gets bound by other chemicals pretty soon after adding it, so unless you're adding it with a root tab or some such, daily small doses are recomended.

Do you need to dose macros like nitrate, phosphate, and potassium? If your nitrate is too low, dosing iron may increase your algae population more than it helps your plants.
