So I have a nasty hair/brush algae problem, my tank gets hit with direct sunlight and I can't change that.

So anyway at my LFS they had these.... I bought 2, but didn't want to buy more in case they are not true SAE. They do seem to stick together ALOT except when eating they will roam apart then. I saw them fight only once the day after i got them, not since...They do seem to munch across the leaves of my plants, but they are both young and I have some nasty hair algae so I can't tell if they are doing a dent in it or not.

From what I can see they only have one set of barbells, but they are so small and quick I could be wrong.

Can someone with more experience tell me if they are true please?

Here's pics.

See if this works...
Edit: There was an extra "http://" in the picture links. I removed it and the pics are now visible.

I think those are true SAE! I went through this myself some months back, trying to buy true SAE. I used this article:
Identifying the Siamese Algae Eater

My fish and your fish had the important elements specified:
The black stripe goes all the way to the fork in the tail
The black stripe is not super smooth
There is not a clear gold stripe above the black stripe

If you can confirm the one set of barbells you are set. But just from the body I am goign to vote yes, true SAE. I LOVE mine by the way, they are active and interesting! But they get big!! I can't believe they used to be the same size as my Otos.
