Is this bad.......

My new pleco (old one just died of mysterious causes) is literally inside my co2 diffuser sucking on the inside of it. My old pleco having just died strangely I'm kinda worried this is the cause, doesn't seem like it should hurt him though.....

Yeah that's probably not good. Too much CO2 can build up in there and he won't be able to breathe.

+1 Put a media bag over the end of the diffuser to keep the pleco out.

Alright, headed to my lfs anyways for fertilizer I'll pick up a media bag. Will that cut down the flow of water out of the bottom of the diffuser, or is it not enough to matter? Thanks

It'll probably restrict the water flow some, but not enough to matter, as long as you keep it clean.
