Hello,

I have a 55g tank from Marineland and I had the "Marineland LED Bar/60mW LEDs". Very low light.

I have just brought these lights "Double Lamp Fluorescent T5 Light System w/Moonlight LEDs.48" Double T5 Light System - 28W x 2 - (1) 10,000K Daylight Lamp. (1) Actinic-03 Lamp. (8) Blue Moonlight LEDs".

These new T5 lights sure make a difference from the LED bar but I was wonder will the T5 light system that I have purchased, will it be able to support plants in my tank?

Thank you....

I didn't even have the single or doublebright LED I had the basic basic LED so I guess its a big jump but not enough for plants?

Maybe. You certainly won't have much light, but you may have enough for the most low light tolerant plants (crypts, ferns, anubias).
