I've been thinking of doing the live plant "master setup" and just going all out with some really nice plants and aquascaping, but before I cna I want everything I need for them, so lighting is needed, my 29 gallon has a 20 watt standard florescent bulb, some of the fixtures I see have 4-6 bulbs in them and push a couple hundred watts, I just want something that is around 2 watts per gallon, is that going to be to bright for my fish or anything?

No. Some people push around 10 wpg(sometimes more) and their fish are fine. Only thing you need to be cautious about if adding a new light fixture is heat. Make sure it is open, water temps will rise.

thanks for the info, I didn't know if it would hurt there eyes or anything, I'll be pushing around 3 watts per gallon, as for heat I 4 120mm ball bearing PC fans to take care of that lol
