it should of instant cycled?

New 95g tank. Took the hob from 55g added dechorlinated tap water. Also running a used wet dry filter on it.
Testing 4pmm ammo and 20 nitrates and no nitrites. What gives?
 
Where it is going to a much larger tank, I would say that you need to give the bb a chance to catch up. Keep the ammo up and give it a few days
 
Good point I didn't think it could have been the hob... maybe wet dry. Tap tested in at .25 this morning
 
I'd probably do some big wc's to drop the ammonia levels down personally. I know some people like to cycle at 4ppm but I honestly don't think that most biofilters under an average fish load are converting 4ppm on a daily basis, so to me it's overkill.
