i've run across a hammers cobalt blue lobster . . .

on liveaquaria and am tempted to get it for no other reason than it's so pretty. is there a downside i should know about to having a lobster in the tank?

Many larger inverts will munch plants and shred them if left alone in a planted tank.

i was afraid that was going to be the answer i got . . . since i'm as in love with my plants as i am my fish . . . i guess i'll pass.
