I know there are a hundred different threads on the new TAO led panels but I have one question.

I have a 24 X 24 X 24 rimless cube, would I want 90 degree optics or 120 degreee? The 90 would keep the light in the tank more would it not? The 120 degree ones are like $40 cheaper though so I thought I'd ask.

Any help would be most appreciated!

thanks everyone!!

90* might leave you with a few dark spots but will penetrate deeper
colors may be neat but don't think they do anything for growth

I have the 120* unit (Blue and White)
it's over my 40b and I get good coverage but my tank isn't as deep as your 24d

New Dimmable 120W Aquarium Coral Reef Fish Tank White Blue LED Light Black US | eBay

this light will cover more area but just not penetrate as deep

I prob would use the 90* but with blue and white in your 24x24x24
don't think the other colors serve a purpose
that would be a good question for Mr X

Oh, I had asked him previously and he said the extra colors were just for me. lol :)

I figured for the money I might as well get the full spectrum. If there are optics I can always remove them can't I and have the 120 degree thats underneath?
