I want to setup a 40 gallon tank with ALL male swordtails and sailfin mollies.
I want to prevent breeding, hence the reason for keeping all males.

I was wondering if there are problems with this setup?
Are males aggressive towards each other (like gouramis/bettas)?

That will be fine. I have never had my male livebearers fight at all. Especially since there will no female to spark territoriality. They are nothing like bettas in that sense. :)

I actually found that my platies for a while still fought for dominance, even though there was no female. Although they did eventually settle down.

The only thing I have seen with my 4 male guppies is sometimes they will chase each other around. Maybe thinking the other is a female? Other than that they all get along fine.

i have a 45 gal. tank with all male fish. 2 gbrs, 7 dwarf gouramis, 3 swords, 3 glo fish, 2 platys, 2 sailfin mollys and 2 sa bumblebee cat fish. they all get along great. no fighting. i really don't want to breed fish so that's why i chose all males. they've been together for about 10 months now with NO problems
