Kudos

Hi,

Being quite new to the forum, I hope someone can explain something to me....

I have noticed that everyone has Kudos, and I have noticed that you can donate Kudos to people and I also noticed that you seem to earn Kudos when you post?

My question is what are they and how does this system work?

Kudos are a way of showing appreciation for help. For example, if someone helps you on an issue and you feel like they did a really good job of it, donate some kudos to them as a sign of appreciation. The amount of Kudos that someone has does not always reflect how knowledgable they are. But it is a nice way of saying Hey, Thanks for all of your help.

Yes, kudos are mainly to show appreciation, but you can give kudos for other reasons also. For example, you are from Scotland I have never visited Scotland but my dad lived there for a year, so I will give you some kudos! Am bheil Gaidhlig agaibh?
