Just got some yesterday (5 in my 180) and they burry themselves in the sand with just their tails sticking out. It's adorable.

It's very rare to see all your kuhli loaches at once! It's in their nature to hide in dark places. They only come out if they feel very safe and secure, which is more often if they're kept in larger numbers don't worry if you can't see them all at once, that's not abnormal.
If you put in an algae or bottom feeder wafer and break it into pieces, wait quietly for a minute or two and usually they'll all come out, sniffing around for it

Funny how this morning with lights still out I could see them at all.
