Lace rock from freshwater tank

Looking to use my lace rock from my cichlid tank in my new fowlr. I soaked the rocks in boiling water for about 30 min. Should I go as far as power washing them to get them clean or should it be fine? They do have a little bit of green algae on them.

I know in most Cichlid tanks they use that dense texas somethin something rock because it has lots of nooks for them to hide. It won't be as good for growing bacteria/natural filtration. If i recall correct cichlids need around 8.0 PH and the rock helps maintain that right? if so it should be ok. I would get some saltwater live rock to supplement the space for bacteria though.
