lake rocks

Well I have a fairly clean lake by my house that'd be some good size rocks for my tank. Would it work? If I scrubbed and soaked them really well maybe some driftwood as well.

Sure. I had between 300 and 350lbs of rock from a local creek in my 150 when I kept mbuna. The only thing you want to make sure of is that the lake is clean. You don't want to pull rocks out of a lake with tons of toxons in it. If they don't have any notices about eating fish from the lake, you should be good to go.

Better, but IMO will look even better with more, more, and more rocks. Remember, cichilds need caves.

Oh it will that's just that one side. I'm planning on doing the other corners as well.
