Ok this is kind of a stupid question but are there any land plants that live underwater too? I just bought some bamboo I don't know if it is the same kind as land bamboo but it looks the same.

Most aquarium plants come from marshes where it can grow either on land or in the water. Bamboo can be grown but the leaves need to be exposed to air.

Hello bet...

Not a stupid question at all. Bamboo will do fine in the tank provided you're able to keep the roots under the water and the leaves above. I've found if you run a length of plastic tubing under the roots and attach the other end to a small air pump the plant grows much better. The bubbles move the water around the roots and the roots take in nutrients more easily.

Good idea.
