I have been looking at lots of different types of LEDS on eBay. With very ranging prices. Can anyone recommend a type of LED and how good are just the strips. A link to ebay / online shop would be great too for comparison. I'm currently setting up a 100L. It does have a strip light in there at present but just thought about toying with LEDs.
I have a 3 and a half foot tank, empty, in my garage at present with no light fixture but does have a hood. The fact I have no stand for that is what's stopping me from setting it up at present but when I do if I like the LEDs I will look at putting them in there too.

Cheers
Matt

I'm planning on having a few plants but nothing too serious. No co2 or soil etc.

If that's the plan 1 or 2 of true lumen 12000k white light led strips would work. Some crypts and Anubias would work well and maybe a sword or two. Low light plants would probably be your best bet in a set up like that.
