my new jebo light has 3 switches on it with 2 plugs. my question is, since they are on timers, should i have the 2 54 watt 420nm actinics come on any sooner than the 175 watt MH's? and also is this a good lighting combo? should i get different T-5's or just stick with the 420 nm's. any info on this would help. please check my info for tank info.
Thanks.

It really is more prefrence than need . Ours both come on at the same time (day lite/acitinic) . We just leave the moons on 7/24 tho you could place that on a timer if you choose . As for the light , there have been reports of jebo causing fire .I have 2 of the PC lights (18watts) and had no problems with them but the reports are of the MH .

I agree, it is a personal preference. Some do like to have the actinics on for 30 mins before and after the other lights...kind of like a sunrise/set. I run both at the same time.

great. now that i read all the power strip/timer/lighting fire mishaps, i think i only want to light the tank when i'm home. anyone have any advice on preventing these things from happening? should i consider trying to sell this light on ebay and buy a better one now. i've had it like 3 weeks with no problems, but who knows?
