Hi,

I have a "spare" 4x65w Power Compact that was on a saltwater tank. It has two power cords & a fan.

Would this work for a 75 gallon freshwater planted tank? It currently doesn't have any bulbs so what kind of bulbs would I buy for it?

If it wouldn't work, kindly let me know what does. I'm trying to see if I have all that I need to set up a freshwater tank in addition to my reef tank.

Thanks!

Yes, that would put you at roughly 3.4wpg...which is fine if you plan to inject CO2.

I would get 5000-10000k bulbs. I run a 6700k and 10,000k 96w bulbs over my 65g planted tank.
