I have a 55 long tank and I have a single t8 fixture running a 5050 bulb I.was told that the bulb would.not be enough to grow corals now my question can I buy a 10000k t8 bulb and add another atinic t8 bulb will the work for corals or do I have to switch to t5

I also have a 55 gallon. A 2 bulb t8 light fixture can only provide enough light for lower light corals such as the soft ones. If you want to keep Lps, sps, and an anemone, you should prob go for a t5 that's 4 bulbs or probably even more.
 
Yea I guess I have to go t5s then I.was just asking didn't want to buy another t8 fixture and then be to little but found a cheap dual t5 ho fixture will that be enough for any kind of coral
 
48" 260w t5 ho would.these b enough for my.55
