Lionhead loosing colour

My ideas? My lion head oranda is not looking well. His head is loosing colour and his body has a weird tone.

I don't know what causes this. My red cap oranda has been loosing the color in his cap over the last six months, and the cap has grown completely over his eyes. Other than that, no health issues. He still ways and swings fine, so...? I'd be curious if anyone else knows why this happens.

Losing the red coloring is not unusual. Red is fancies isnt necessarily a static color. What do you feed him? What size tank/stocking? Levels for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & ph? What is exactly is 'weird' about his body color?

To Angelwings, wens do need to be trimmed- this can be done by an aquatic vet or yourself if this is something you feel comfortable doing (sedation & trimming).
