Im starting to develop a bit of an algae problem in my low-tech, lightly planted 20 Long, so Im going to be shortening the photo period from 9hrs to 6hrs.
Ive been dosing liquid CO2 in the morning before going to work... typically between 30-60 minutes before the lights would turn on.

In order to give myself more viewing enjoyment time, Im thinking of changing the light schedule to 3pm-9pm.
Will it still be ok to dose the CO2 in the morning even though the lights wouldnt be turning on until almost 8hrs later?

Liquid carbon generally only works for 12 hours. After that point it breaks down and is useless. You could do it that way but might want to do 2 separate doses if that's the way you want to go.

Well, thats a bummer but not the end of the world. I'll just have to figure out a lighting schedule that allows me to dose in the morning but have the lights on in the afternoon/early evening. Maybe 1p-7p.
Thanks for the good information.
