Little black bug/ pod?

It's all black w two white stripes on its back. I'd say the closest thing I can think of is isopod?? I tried to take a photo but couldn't get a good one.

I was brushing some nuisance algae off a rock when it popped out.

Any ideas?

Really hard to see from the pic, but is it a shielded limpet? The description sounds close.

I know! I looked up the shield limpet and I don't think that's it it's more like an insect than a slug or snail. Unfortunately I dropped it down the drain before I took any better photos.

I haven't really found anything that resembles it on the web so I'm going to assume he was an "outsider" that crawled in. It wasn't moving after I removed it either.
